Dr. Thera (Tee) Fox, DVM

Veterinarian

Warm sunshine and the Phoenix Coyotes couldn’t keep Dr. Thera (Tee) Fox from coming back to her greatest love, Canada. Dr. Tee Fox was born and raised on a mixed animal farm in Southern Alberta.  She was very active in school sports and is purported to be very skilled on the basketball court. In 1998, Tee graduated from Olds College, Alberta, as a veterinary technician, but knowing full well that she could diagnose, treat and prescribe just as well as the veterinarians she worked for, Tee went on to veterinary school in 2003. Tee’s penchant towards all things equine flourished  at vet school: she was president of the Theriogenology (animal reproduction) club, student rep to the Equine Health Research Fund, horse project leader for Viscount 4-H Multi-club, and recipient of the AAEP Foundations Scholarship for proven leadership in veterinary school, advocating for equine welfare and academic achievement – WHEW! Upon graduating, our budding horse whisperer worked at Elder’s Equine Clinic in Winnipeg and, primarily, at Assiniboia Downs Race Track. Amidst the two careers, Tee found time to perform locum veterinary work at Blue Cross Animal Hospital in Sarnia, Ontario! However, the cold Canadian climate drove Dr. Fox to seek the vitamin-D replenishment therapy offered by the sunny, warm climes of Phoenix, Arizona, where she had been working at Turf Paradise Racetrack on her equine patients, orphans looking for forever homes and her summer tan. But missing her home, Tee uprooted her husband, sons and pets to establish their forever home in Grey County. In their spare time, the Fox family takes every opportunity to inhabit the outdoors and spend time camping, hiking, fishing, skiing and anything else that Mother Nature has to offer.
