Why a Wellness Plan?
With the introduction of a monthly payment plan, Wellness Plans can be a more affordable way for you to provide preventative healthcare for your pet. At Markdale Veterinary Services we believe in proactive, preventative healthcare that can improve the length and quality of your pet’s life. Wellness Plans have been carefully created to include the services that we recommend for your pet.
What does a Wellness Plan include?
Annual physical examination
All your pet’s vaccinations for one year
Annual blood testing to help evaluate your pet’s internal organ functions and check for certain blood parasites and infections when needed
Flea, tick & heartworm protection when going outdoors
Deworming and in-clinic stool test to screen for intestinal parasites
3 complimentary appointments scheduled during regular office hours
2 socialization & training classes for puppies
An individualized nutritional consultation
For puppies and kittens: Spaying or neutering
For Seniors: urine testing
Pet Insurance trial for healthy pets under four
The option to finance your pet’s dental care
Costs & benefits
The cost of a Wellness Plan is determined by species, size, gender and lifestyle of your pet. For example, puppies and kittens may require surgery and outdoor cats have different needs than indoor cats. All plans include several free services; monthly payment options and the bonus of having the clinic remind you when your pet is due for a procedure or product. A Wellness Plan gives you the comfort of knowing that you are providing excellent preventative healthcare for your pet.
Does it cover all my pet’s needs?
Our Wellness Plans cover preventative healthcare. In the event, your pet becomes sick, and requires medical or surgical treatment the associated costs would be additional. The 3 free physical exams cannot be used outside of the clinic’s regular business hours.
What if I have multiple pets?
Every healthy pet qualifies for the wellness plan & you can have multiple plans. As each pet will receive his or her individualized Wellness Plan, pets cannot share one plan.
How do I pay?
You can pay for the plan in full the day you register or you can take advantage of our monthly payment feature. If you choose a payment plan the HST for the plan is due upon registration. From there, the cost of the plan is divided up into 11 equal monthly payments which can be made by pre-authorized debit using a Debit/VISA or Debit/MasterCard, pre-authorized VISA or MasterCard payments. (Please note personal cheques will not be accepted for the equal monthly payments.)
Can I cancel?
You can cancel your plan at any time before the expiration date by paying the cost of the services and products used up until the time of cancellation.
